Setting configuration.php

Backup file configuration.php become configuration.local.php. Open the configuration.php file and change some values such as below and save. The example below uses the assumption that you want to make Joomla accessible through web http://yourdomain.tld/.

$ mosConfig_absolute_path = '/ home / [USERNAME] / public_html';
$ mosConfig_cachepath = '/ home / [USERNAME] / public_html / cache';
$ mosConfig_password = '[PASSWORD_DATABASE_JOOMLA]';
$ mosConfig_user = '[USERNAME] _ [NAMA_DATABASE_JOOMLA]';

Note:

Database name and username will be assigned prefix "[USERNAME] _" where username is taken from the cPanel login.
Do not forget MySQL user password case-sensitive.

Setting $ mosConfig_host should be localhost.

$ mosConfig_host = 'localhost';

Upload Files

Zip files in the directory local Joomla. After that run the application and uploaded to the FTP directory you want. Can also use the File Manager in cPanel --> File Manager to upload. If you want to make Joomla as the main web, please upload the Joomla zip file into the public_html directory so that Joomla can be accessed through http://yourdomain.tld/.

public_html / zip_joomla.zip

After the upload is complete, use File Manager in cPanel --> File Manager and navigate to the directory where Joomla zip file is uploaded, click the file name, later the right of web browsers will display several options, click "Extract File Contents". Refresh File Manager, click on the public_html directory name, will appear later files successfully extracted.

public_html / index.php
public_html / components /
public_html / templates /
etc.

Now your site has been configured, check if your action is right. Go to http://www.yourdomain.tld/ in your browser. You will see your website now.

Tips:

After setting Joomla configuration file, you must change permission of file, set to CHMOD 444 or unwriteable access.
